We are about to row our boat “Ellida” 3,807 miles (6,126.6km) from mainland Portugal to mainland Venezuela. Very few people have ever completed this much longer Atlantic crossing route. ( That’s less people who have been to the moon) We will consume 5000 calories a day which amounts to 300kg of food carried. The world record is 56 days… We want to beat that, all the funds we raise goes directly to the NSPCC. Less than four weeks to departure! Please share this post to help us raise awareness of our crossing and sign up to our newsletter for all our news http://eepurl.com/bGnayP

Awesome effort guys. I read about how much food you are bringing, but what are you doing for fresh water. I estimate about 1700 lbs of water needed. That’s a lot of weight to start with.
